Light Lunch@ Starbucks at The Merlion Park

Stranger: "Hi, are you a christian?" (pointing to the cross around my neck)

Me: "er... yes."

Stranger: "Me too.... " (showing me his cross at his neck) ... "Do you know how to get to that building?" (pointing to one of the office buildings behind me)

Me: "um... you can go straight ahead, cross the subway, and you would be there..." (well, according to the maps...)

Stranger: "Thanks....... Can you take a picture for me?" (pointing to my camera in hand)

Me: "er... OK. 3 - 2 - 1 - smile ... "

Stranger: "Thanks... can you give me the picture?"

Me: "Yes, your email address ?"

Stranger: "Address? oh ... i sleep there..." (pointing to a bench at the park outside The Esplanade)

Me: (paused for 5 sec.) "... Do you have a computer? email address?"

Stranger: "Computer? No. I like the picture ... Can you give me ?"

Me: " ... How?!?!"

Stranger: "You can go there to find me tomorrow!" (pointing towards the bench again)

Me: "Tomorrow ?! ....... Tomorrow! SURE!"

Stranger: "Thanks. I am Peter. Where are you from?"

Me: "Hong Kong ... "

Peter: "I see. I am from Malay...."

Me: "OK. I gotta go... see you tomorrow!" (pretend to be hurry and walk away)

Peter: "Bye... aey.. do you have $2 ?"

I've gone ... and never come back.
